This list of states is recommended for consumers who want to buy products made in states that are cutting global warming with state-wide enforceable greenhouse gas emission reduction targets(*). The name of the state where the product was made is on the product's label.

Consumers have powerful control over a state's standard of living and standard of government. Consumers (you) are people who buy products and services for themselves, their family and their home. Consumers are far more important to the health of a state's economy than industry or government because consumer spending is 2/3's of a state's GDP (Gross Domestic Product); the other 1/3 is industry and government combined. State GDP is the most important measure of the state's economic well being. Therefore, consumer choices of products and services are important.

State legislators' salaries depend on the state income tax and the sales tax.
